TD Securities analyst Prashant Newnaha expects the Reserve Bank of New Zealand (RBNZ) to increase the Official Cash Rate (OCR) by 25 basis points to 2.50% at next week's policy meeting.
According to Newnaha, the current cash rate remains below a neutral level, keeping policy too accommodative relative to economic conditions. The forecast suggests the RBNZ will continue its tightening cycle to address inflationary pressures.
