Space-themed exchange-traded funds have reached a new milestone, with combined assets under management surpassing $5 billion for the first time in history. According to data from The Kobeissi Letter, AUM in space ETFs has more than doubled since the start of 2026 and surged over 900% over the past year.

The Space Innovators ETF (ticker: $NASA), which launched on March 30, has grown its AUM to a record $2.6 billion. The fund's price has risen 50% since inception, including a 37% gain in May alone.

$NASA is one of the few retail-accessible investment vehicles offering exposure to SpaceX, which currently makes up 7.5% of the fund's holdings. The rapid growth signals strong retail anticipation for a potential SpaceX initial public offering.
