Nvidia Ships Vera Data Center CPU, Competing with Intel and AMD

Nvidia has begun shipping its new Vera data center CPU, marking a move beyond GPUs into direct competition with Intel and AMD in the AI server market.

Nvidia has expanded its AI hardware strategy beyond GPUs by shipping its new Vera data center CPU, according to sources. The chip was delivered in June to customers including OpenAI, Anthropic, and SpaceX.

This move positions Nvidia as a direct competitor to Intel and AMD in the AI server CPU segment. The Vera CPU represents a strategic push to capture more of the data center market as demand for AI infrastructure grows.
