Michael Saylor, the well-known Bitcoin advocate and MicroStrategy executive, appears to have softened his stance on a drastic measure he previously suggested for holding Bitcoin. In February 2025, Saylor was quoted as saying, "Sell a kidney if you need to keep BTC."

By May 2026, his message had evolved to: "Keep your kidney, but don't part with your BTC." The reversal has drawn reactions from the crypto community, with many expressing sympathy for those who may have acted on the earlier advice.

Saylor's revised wording implies that he no longer endorses sacrificing organs to maintain a Bitcoin position, though his commitment to holding the cryptocurrency remains unchanged.
