Mexican Peso Rallies After Banxico's Unanimous Hold at 6.50%

The Mexican Peso posted a sharp rally against the US Dollar on Thursday, rising more than 0.62% after the Banco de Mexico (Banxico) voted unanimously to keep its benchmark interest rate unchanged at 6.50%. The decision, described as hawkish, reinforced investor confidence in the central bank's inflation-fighting stance.

The USD/MXN pair fell to 17.49, after earlier touching a one-and-a-half-month peak. The hold comes as Banxico continues to prioritize price stability amid persistent inflation pressures, supporting the Peso's upward momentum.
