CryptoQuant CEO Says Bitcoin Bear Market Could Last Until Early 2027

Ki Young Ju, founder and CEO of CryptoQuant, predicts the current Bitcoin bear market may extend into early 2027 based on the PnL Index Signal, which shows cascading profit-taking since October 2025.

Ki Young Ju, founder and CEO of on-chain analytics firm CryptoQuant, warned that the ongoing Bitcoin bear market could persist into early 2027. He cited the PnL Index Signal, a metric that has indicated cascading profit-taking by investors since October 2025.

Historically, such bear phases last approximately 18 months. Ju noted that a trend reversal only occurs when unrealized profits rise while realized profits decline, adding: "We are not there yet."

The statement comes amid muted Bitcoin price action, with the leading cryptocurrency struggling to reclaim prior highs.
