China Exports Record 1.07M Vehicles in June 2026, Up 73% YoY

China's vehicle exports hit a record 1.07 million units in June 2026, a 73% year-over-year increase, driven by EVs and plug-in hybrids backed by state subsidies and battery supply chain dominance.

China's vehicle exports surged to a record 1.07 million units in June 2026, marking the first time monthly exports have exceeded one million. The figure represents a 73% year-on-year increase, according to sources.

The growth is primarily driven by electric vehicles (EVs) and plug-in hybrids, supported by state subsidies and China's dominance in the battery supply chain. Monthly exports have risen sharply from 390,000 units in March 2023 to over one million in just three years.

The data underscores China's rapid expansion in the global auto market, particularly in the new energy vehicle segment.
