WhiteBIT Enters the UK with Dedicated Crypto Platform

WhiteBIT has launched whitebit.uk, a dedicated UK platform for retail and institutional crypto users, with GBP funding, lending and API tools.

WhiteBIT, which describes itself as Europe's largest cryptocurrency exchange by traffic, has launched a dedicated United Kingdom platform at whitebit.uk. The announcement, made on May 20, 2026, marks the exchange's entry into one of the world's most established and tightly regulated financial markets.

The new platform is built to serve both retail and professional clients. Retail users get spot trading, market analytics and instant conversion, and can fund their accounts in pounds sterling using payment cards or the Faster Payments Service. Institutional users have access to liquidity and market-making support, token listing options, Crypto-as-a-Service and API connectivity, allowing them to integrate digital asset operations through a single interface. UK customers can also use crypto lending services and auto-invest functionality, subject to product availability, onboarding checks and applicable UK regulatory requirements.

The UK expansion comes amid continued growth in crypto adoption. Financial Conduct Authority data cited by WhiteBIT shows that awareness of cryptoassets among the UK public stood at 91% in 2025, while around 8% of UK adults hold crypto. The same data indicates that 73% of crypto users rely on centralised exchanges, underlining the role of established platforms in providing access to digital asset markets.

Volodymyr Nosov, founder and president of W Group, of which WhiteBIT is part, said entering the UK is an important milestone in the exchange's expansion across regulated jurisdictions. "The UK has long been a global financial hub, and we see strong demand for platforms that combine innovation with a high level of trust, transparency, and compliance," he added.

WhiteBIT says it has built its reputation on security and operational resilience, and has ranked among the top three secure exchanges globally according to CER.live. It was also the first exchange to obtain Level 3 certification under the Cryptocurrency Security Standard developed by the CryptoCurrency Certification Consortium.

The exchange says it plans to broaden its product offering and local presence in the UK as the market evolves, supporting both individual users and institutional partners with compliant solutions.
