Webull Adds New AI Tools, Including ChatGPT, Claude and Grok Connections

Webull announced Tuesday a broad update to its AI-powered trading toolkit, introducing new connectors that let customers link their brokerage accounts to popular AI chatbots such as ChatGPT, Claude and Grok. The move is part of the broker’s effort to make account monitoring and trading more accessible through conversational commands.

Once connected, users can ask simple questions to check account balances, view watchlists, review past orders and retrieve current market prices. The integration builds on Webull’s existing MCP server, which already allowed clients to interact with trading information using plain-language prompts.

The firm also unveiled Webull CLI, a command-line tool aimed at developers and active traders who want faster access to Webull’s trading infrastructure from their computers. Webull says the CLI supports price checks, account views and trading across stocks, options, futures, crypto and event contracts. It can also help automate portfolio tracking and streamline the testing of trading strategies.

In addition, Webull expanded its AI research capabilities. The new research tools include money flow tracking, peer comparison features, earnings forecasts, and calendar views for dividend and earnings dates.

Jack Keating, head of AI at Webull Tech US, said the latest features reflect a shift in how investors use AI. In the past, he noted, users mainly asked AI for information. Now, he believes investors increasingly expect AI to assist with researching stocks, monitoring their accounts and gaining a clearer picture of their personal finances.

Broker AI Race Intensifies

Webull’s update comes as online brokerages compete to embed generative AI tools into their platforms. The new connectors and developer tools give Webull clients more ways to interact with their portfolios while keeping data within a controlled, connected environment.
