The promotion centers on the company's Malta-based entity, Foris DAX MT Limited, which is authorized by the Malta Financial Services Authority as a crypto-asset service provider under the EU's Markets in Crypto-Assets regulation.

Under that authorization, Foris DAX MT Limited is permitted to provide exchange services between crypto-assets and funds, exchange services between crypto-assets, reception and transmission of orders on behalf of clients, execution of orders, transfer services, and custody and administration of crypto-assets. The company is registered in Malta with company number C 88392 and operates under the Crypto.com brand.

The Cash Account supporting the offering is provided separately by Foris MT Limited, another Malta-registered group company. Foris MT Limited also issues the Crypto.com Visa Card under its Visa Principal Member license and is authorized by the Maltese regulator as an electronic money institution under the Financial Institutions Act.
