Tim Furey on EDGE: "Hope Is Not a Strategy."

Tradeview Markets has launched EDGE, a proprietary execution engine that routes raw pricing from multiple liquidity providers and runs inside MT4 and MT5, founder Tim Furey announced.

Tradeview Markets has launched the EDGE Instant Liquidity Connector, a proprietary execution engine that founder and CEO Tim Furey says was built to strip out the spread markups he considers standard practice among retail forex brokers. The announcement, dated October 6, 2026, follows what the company describes as millions of dollars and years of development work.

According to Tradeview, EDGE runs on a proprietary matching engine paired with proprietary FIX connectivity. It scans multiple top-tier liquidity providers within milliseconds, routes raw, unmarked pricing across liquidity pools, slices larger orders, aggregates the resulting fills at the best available price and adjusts via a real-time AI decision engine when volatility rises. Positive slippage is passed to the client. Routing takes place in sub-millisecond time, and the system operates inside MT4 and MT5 with no installation or relearning required, the company said.

Furey used the launch to attack brokers that widen spreads to capture margin, arguing that invisible markups function as a tax on client loyalty and that headline spreads which cannot be executed at size are of little value. He also dismissed bonus-driven marketing, saying incentives rent customers rather than build them. Pricing on the new infrastructure carries a ".edge" suffix to distinguish it from standard Tradeview pairs. "I felt it was time to stir things up and give our customers the same rates I am privy to when I trade," Furey said.

Founder-led since 2004

Furey's background spans open-outcry commodity broking, proprietary trading at Schonfeld Securities and forex at ODL Securities before he founded Tradeview in 2004 in a small Wall Street office alongside three teammates from New York's Old Blue rugby club. The firm was profitable in its first month, according to the company, and remains independent and founder-led roughly 22 years later, with close to 200 staff and licensed entities in several jurisdictions.

The broker says Furey is now driving its expansion into the Middle East alongside growth across Latin America and Asia, and is promoting EDGE to both direct clients and introducing brokers. Tradeview's team will attend iFX EXPO Asia 2026 in Hong Kong on October 8 and 9.
