Sui Is Now Available On Gemini

Gemini has listed Sui (SUI), the native token of the Sui Layer-1 blockchain, for trading. Users can now buy, sell, and custody SUI on the platform.
Gemini announced that Sui (SUI) is now available for trading on its exchange. Effective immediately, customers can buy, sell, and custody the token directly through their Gemini accounts.
SUI is the native token of the Sui blockchain, a Layer-1 network designed for fast, low-friction transactions. It is primarily used in decentralized finance (DeFi), NFTs, and gaming applications. The token serves three main purposes on the Sui network: paying transaction fees, participating in governance, and staking.
Unlike traditional blockchain platforms such as Ethereum and Solana, Sui treats digital assets as individual objects rather than as a shared ledger of assets. This architecture is enabled by the Move smart contract language, which Sui uses to manage asset ownership and state.
To start trading SUI on Gemini, existing users can log in and search for "SUI" in the asset search bar. New users must first sign up for an account. Once SUI is located, users can buy or sell at market prices or set up recurring purchases to build a position over time.
The addition of SUI expands Gemini's roster of supported crypto assets, giving traders access to one of the newer Layer-1 ecosystems.
