Scope Markets Hires Former Tradeview Analyst to Run Its MENA Research and Marketing

Scope Markets has appointed Ibrahim Hossny as head of research and marketing for MENA, tasking the former Tradeview analyst with Arabic-language content and trader engagement from Dubai.

Scope Markets named Ibrahim Hossny as its head of research and marketing for the Middle East and North Africa on Friday, September 18, 2026. Working from Dubai, he will run the broker's regional marketing effort, including Arabic-language educational material and day-to-day engagement with traders.

The role combines two functions Hossny already handled at his previous employer. His LinkedIn profile shows he joined Tradeview Markets in October 2023 as MENA research and marketing manager and left in June 2026, running marketing for Arabic-speaking markets while publishing educational content as a "financial influencer" aimed at lead generation. His arrival at Tradeview followed the firm's hire of Amgad Attia, FXDD's former sales vice president, as MENA director a month earlier.

Before Tradeview, Hossny spent more than six years at FXDD, working remotely from Cairo as the company's regional spokesperson for the Arab world. His profile dates his first technical analyst position, at a Cairo brokerage, to 2007. Scope said he has also provided market commentary to CNBC Arabia and Sky News Arabia, and his profile lists the CISI's ICWIM investment management certificate.

A Crowded Regional Race

"His understanding of Arabic-speaking audiences will help us deliver relevant content," said John Murphy, managing director of Scope Markets' retail business, who was promoted to the role from group chief commercial officer. Scope has been owned by Rostro since 2022 and operates through regulated entities in six jurisdictions. In August it added Scope Copy, a MetaTrader 5 service that lets clients copy or reverse other traders' strategies.

The appointment highlights how intensely retail brokers are competing for the same regional audience. Capital.com reported MENA trading volumes of $804.1 billion in the first half of 2025, a 53% rise from the second half of 2024, with the UAE accounting for more than 70% of the total.

Scope's move came a day after Tickmill named Ranim Turfa as head of research and market analysis for MENA on Thursday, September 17. Turfa had been a senior market analyst at Axi in Dubai since March 2019, following roles at Noor Capital and as a presenter on Mal TV. Tickmill described her as a Certified Financial Technician and a CISI member; her remit covers research only. Joseph Dahrieh, Tickmill's MENA managing director since September 2024, said her insights would resonate with the broker's clients. Moneta Markets made a comparable hire in March 2024, appointing CNBC and Sky News regular Fadi Reyad as MENA chief market strategist shortly after receiving an operating licence in Dubai.
