Robinhood Takes Stakes in Crypto.com and OG to Expand Prediction Markets

Robinhood is adding Crypto.com's prediction-market contracts to its app and taking minority stakes in Crypto.com and spinoff OG, after event-contract revenue reached $156M in Q2 2026.

Robinhood has agreed a multiyear deal to carry prediction-market contracts from Crypto.com inside its app while taking minority stakes in both Crypto.com and OG, the prediction-markets business that Crypto.com has spun out as a standalone company. The Wall Street Journal reported the agreement. Financial terms, including the size of Robinhood's investments, were not disclosed.

The move adds a third supplier to Robinhood's Prediction Markets Hub. The brokerage initially built the offering through Kalshi, a CFTC-regulated event-contract exchange, and later added Rothera, a CFTC-licensed exchange and clearinghouse operated through Robinhood's joint venture with Susquehanna International Group. Under the new arrangement, customers would still trade inside Robinhood's app, but contracts could originate from Kalshi, Rothera or OG.

Another venue for event contracts

JB Mackenzie, Robinhood's Vice President and General Manager of Futures and Prediction Markets, told the WSJ that the agreement should let the company offer better pricing and a wider range of contracts. He also said the deal gives Robinhood "more skin in the game." The timing is commercially relevant: the agreement lands ahead of the US football season and this year's midterm elections, both expected to draw more attention to event contracts.

Robinhood's latest results show why it is broadening its prediction-market supply. Event-contract revenue rose more than tenfold year on year to $156 million in the second quarter of 2026, making it the company's second-largest disclosed transaction category after options. The product generated more revenue than equities ($129 million) and cryptocurrencies ($100 million) during the quarter. Robinhood also reported a quarterly record of 13.6 billion event contracts traded through its Prediction Markets Hub, more than ten times the prior-year level. Rothera contributed $17 million of the $156 million total after its June launch.

For Crypto.com, the deal gives OG access to Robinhood's retail app. Crypto.com has offered prediction-market contracts through its derivatives arm since late 2024 and launched OG as a separate prediction-market experience in February 2026. Kris Marszalek, Crypto.com's CEO, told the WSJ that prediction-market contracts are the first product the companies plan to launch together, adding that they had discussed equity-linked perpetual futures subject to regulatory approval. The agreement follows a change in Crypto.com's earlier distribution plans, with its previously announced direct prediction-market integration with Truth Social later realigned into a marketing arrangement. The deal does not replace Kalshi or Rothera, but expands the set of partners behind Robinhood's prediction-markets business.
