Robinhood Chain Beats PumpSwap by $10M in Weekly Volume

Robinhood Chain generated about $1.23B in weekly launchpad volume, narrowly beating PumpSwap's $1.22B, per analyst data.

Robinhood Chain's launchpad ecosystem recorded roughly $1.23 billion in trading volume over the past seven days, edging out PumpSwap's estimated $1.22 billion, according to data shared by crypto analyst Adam_Tehc. The margin of about $10 million marks an early milestone for the Layer 2 network, which went public earlier this month.

The figures indicate that Robinhood's blockchain has quickly become a significant venue for new token launches, despite a market long dominated by Solana-based platforms such as Pump.fun and PumpSwap. The activity comes as Robinhood pushes further into decentralized finance. The company launched Robinhood Chain's public mainnet in July, positioning it as an institutional-grade Layer 2 network focused on tokenized real-world assets, while also supporting permissionless applications and token issuance.

Despite Robinhood's promotion of tokenized stocks as the chain's flagship use case, memecoins continue to drive the vast majority of on-chain trading. Recent ecosystem data shows meme-token launchpads are the primary source of user engagement, with speculative assets attracting considerably more volume than tokenized equities.

Analysts say the increase appears to represent net-new market participation rather than users abandoning Solana. Pump.fun and PumpSwap volumes have remained relatively resilient, suggesting Robinhood Chain is expanding the overall launchpad market rather than simply redistributing existing liquidity. The network has also seen rapid growth in decentralized exchange activity, with daily DEX volumes in the hundreds of millions and total value locked climbing as users deploy capital into lending protocols, liquidity pools and token launch platforms.

The latest milestone demonstrates Robinhood's ability to bootstrap activity on a new blockchain through retail participation and speculative trading. However, it also highlights a divergence between the company's long-term vision and current user behavior. Robinhood launched the chain to facilitate tokenized stocks, real-world assets and institutional-grade DeFi, yet memecoins remain the dominant driver of network activity. That pattern mirrors the early growth of other Layer 2 ecosystems, where speculative trading initially attracted liquidity before more traditional financial applications gained traction.

Robinhood has continued to expand the chain's capabilities, recently introducing tokenized equities, decentralized perpetual futures, lending products and infrastructure for AI-powered financial applications. The company expects these products to gradually increase the share of trading tied to real-world assets. For now, surpassing PumpSwap's weekly launchpad volume just weeks after launch is a notable achievement, though sustaining that momentum beyond the current memecoin cycle will likely determine whether Robinhood Chain evolves into the institutional platform its creators envisioned or remains primarily a hub for speculative trading.
