Renta 4 Launches Platform to Invest in Cryptoassets

Renta 4 Banco has launched a platform for direct trading and custody of Bitcoin, Ethereum and Solana, fully integrated into its web and app, offering institutional-grade security and a consolidated wealth view.
Madrid-based Renta 4 Banco announced on June 10, 2026, the launch of a new platform enabling clients to buy, sell and custody cryptocurrencies directly through its website and mobile app. The service initially supports Bitcoin, Ethereum and Solana.
The platform provides institutional-level custody and is fully integrated with the bank’s existing investment interface, allowing clients to manage stocks, funds and crypto assets from a single account. The bank emphasized that this unified view simplifies portfolio management and enhances transparency.
Renta 4 has set competitive fees for the regulated market: 0.65% for trading transactions and 0.25% per annum for custody. The move builds on authorization received from Spain’s CNMV at the end of 2025 to offer crypto-related services, aligning with the European Union’s Markets in Crypto-Assets (MiCA) regulation.
Juan Carlos Ureta Estades, director of business development at Renta 4 Banco, described the launch as a “fundamental milestone” in the firm’s strategy to expand into digital assets in a regulated, secure manner. Daniel Alonso, head of Digital Assets, added that the service responds to client demand for a straightforward, secure way to access an asset class that is now well established.
The bank’s digital assets strategy also includes the Renta 4 Cripto FIL fund for professional investors seeking active management, as well as trading in crypto ETPs. The new platform targets both retail and experienced investors looking for a regulated environment with physical branch support and assistance with tax reporting.
