Rakuten Securities Adds 'OrderBoost' Feature on MARKETSPEED II

Rakuten Securities will add OrderBoost to its MARKETSPEED II trading tool on July 19, 2026, offering real-time visibility of individual orders on the order book.
Rakuten Securities has announced a new feature for its desktop trading platform MARKETSPEED II called OrderBoost, set to launch on July 19, 2026. The enhancement aims to increase the granularity of order book data by breaking down aggregated quotes into individual order-level information.
OrderBoost consists of three main components. The Order Indicator displays a visual bar showing where a client’s own order sits within the order book. The Order Book Position List shows all orders at a specified price, including order size and time of entry, so traders can see their queue position. The Correction/Cancellation Count tracks the number of order amendments and cancellations per stock in real time, helping users identify stocks with high order churn that may signal algorithmic activity or large investor moves.
The company claims it is the first among Japan’s top five online securities firms by account numbers to offer such order-level visibility. Rakuten has filed a business method patent application for the technology as of July 6, 2026.
Access and Pricing
OrderBoost will be free for all Rakuten Securities account holders during a trial period from July 19 through August 31, 2026. After that, clients who execute at least five credit trades per month in Japanese stocks will receive free access from the following day through the end of the next month.
Rakuten Securities positions the new tool as part of its ongoing effort to improve the trading experience on MARKETSPEED II, which already supports algorithmic orders, multi-window views, and trading of Japanese stocks, US stocks and CFDs within a single interface.
