Pepperstone expands Perpetual CFDs as markets move toward a 24/7 future

Pepperstone is widening its Perpetual CFD lineup beyond digital assets, with metals, indices and energy instruments planned, citing demand for round-the-clock market access.
Pepperstone has announced an expansion of its Perpetual CFD offering, extending the product format beyond digital assets as the industry moves toward continuous, 24/7 trading. The rollout is designed to give traders access to perpetual market mechanics across traditional asset classes through the broker's existing regulated CFD infrastructure.
Perpetual futures have become one of the fastest-growing product categories globally, with annual trading volumes estimated to have exceeded $90 trillion in 2025, according to the announcement. Industry estimates cited by the broker also suggest tokenised financial assets could grow from roughly $35 billion today to around $2 trillion by 2030, pointing to always-on, blockchain-based markets.
The expansion follows the launch of SPCX.US-PERP, a synthetic perpetual CFD referencing SpaceX. Pepperstone said the next phase will include perpetual CFDs on Gold, Silver, Nasdaq, S&P 500, WTI and Brent Crude, broadening round-the-clock access across metals, indices and energy. All products will run through Pepperstone's regulated CFD framework, using its global regulatory licenses and familiar platforms and account structures.
Tamas Szabo, Group CEO of Pepperstone, said the concept of fixed market hours is becoming outdated. "Capital, information, and risk now move continuously, and we believe 24-hour markets will become a standard feature of modern finance," he said. "Our focus is on bringing that future into a regulated environment that traders already know and trust."
Chris Weston, Head of Research at Pepperstone, said major market-moving developments no longer wait for opening bells. "Information is global, instantaneous, and continuous, and traders increasingly want access to markets when opportunities emerge," he said. "We see that demand for continuous access is becoming a defining feature of the next generation of financial markets."
Unlike perpetual futures typically offered on crypto exchanges, Pepperstone's Perpetual CFDs operate entirely within its existing CFD infrastructure. Traders can obtain perpetual exposure through a standard trading account without needing crypto wallets, exchange collateral arrangements or separate venue onboarding.
The launch fits into Pepperstone's broader strategy of building products that reflect evolving market structures and changing client demand for continuous access.
