Nordnet Launches the Nordics' First German Index Fund

Nordnet has launched Nordnet Tyskland, the first German index fund available to Nordic investors. The launch coincides with the company’s fund division reaching SEK 100 billion in assets under management.

Nordnet Bank AB has launched Nordnet Tyskland, described as the first German index fund available to Nordic investors. The product is being rolled out simultaneously to customers in Denmark, Norway, Sweden, and Finland. The launch coincides with Nordnet's in-house fund company reaching SEK 100 billion in assets under management.

The fund is designed for broad market exposure, tracking the DAX LargeMid UCITS Capped Net Return EUR index. It invests in German large- and mid-cap companies, including SAP, Allianz, Siemens, Airbus, Deutsche Bank, and Rheinmetall. The fund has an annual total expense ratio of 0.20% and is traded in euros.

“Germany is Europe’s economic engine, but until now Danish investors have lacked an index fund investing in the German market,” said Tine Vestergren Uldal, country manager for Nordnet Denmark. “With this fund we give investors a broad, well-balanced and very affordable exposure to many of Germany’s and Europe’s largest companies.”

The fund can be purchased for a minimum of SEK 100 and is available on all account types, including standard brokerage accounts, share savings accounts, and various pension accounts. The fund follows index replication with sustainability exclusions.

The launch comes as Nordnet’s own fund division surpasses SEK 100 billion in AUM, reflecting growing investor demand for cost-effective, international exposure. The company stated the move underlines its ambition to remain competitive by expanding product choice and challenging the traditional fund market.
