Match-Trader Lets Traders Question a Live Account and…

Match-Trade Technologies has released Match-Trader MCP for Traders, a remote Model Context Protocol server that lets traders query a live account and prepare orders inside AI assistants.
Match-Trade Technologies, the builder of the Match-Trader multi-asset platform, has released Match-Trader MCP for Traders, a remote Model Context Protocol server that connects a single Match-Trader trading account to an AI assistant. Through one fixed set of tools, traders can retrieve account and market data and prepare trading actions, the company said. The launch follows a firm-level release on 1 October 2026, when Match-Trader Broker Management MCP was introduced for dealing desks and prop firms holding a Match-Trader Full Server License.
The new server is a request-and-response layer built on the platform's API. A prompt travels from an AI application such as Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor or VS Code to the remote Match-Trader MCP server and then to the Trader API on the relevant account. Each tool maps directly to a Trader API endpoint and falls into one of two groups: read tools covering the account, portfolio and market insight, and action tools covering position opening, modification and closure, plus the creation, modification and cancellation of pending orders.
Human approval for state-changing actions
Match-Trade positions the tool as a way to cut the tab-switching and manual spreadsheet work involved in checking exposure, swap costs or trade history. Example prompts cited include asking for open positions and accumulated swap costs for the month, a summary of the common traits among losing trades over the past 30 days, overall USD exposure, or which positions carry no stop loss. When an order is prepared, the assistant calls the matching trading tool, displays the operation and its parameters, and MCP clients typically require the trader to approve a state-changing action before it executes.
Access is controlled through a single token per trading account, generated in Match-Trader's API Access view and named by the trader for traceability. Permissions are scoped by function group rather than granted on an all-or-nothing basis, and a token can be revoked at any time without disturbing other integrations. Rate limits apply per token and per user across tokens. Actions executed via the API remain visible in trading history, with the token name potentially appearing in a close reason.
Match-Trade stressed that the server is an interface to an account and the platform's functions, not an advisory service. It does not provide investment advice and responsibility for every approved order stays with the trader. The company noted comparable ground elsewhere in the sector: Webull's cloud MCP server also lets eligible US customers prepare orders in Claude, Perplexity and Grok, while still requiring a separate confirmation before submission.
Founded in 2013, Match-Trade Technologies supplies trading technology to forex brokers, prop trading firms and financial institutions. Its flagship Match-Trader platform supports standalone deployment, back-end use for proprietary front ends and add-on environments for FX brokerage and prop trading operations, alongside white-label technology, CRM and client-office tools, liquidity and market-data connectivity and third-party integrations.
