IQ Option Traders Gain Financial Commission Access with €20K Protection

IQ Option became an approved Financial Commission member on 30 September 2026, giving eligible clients access to independent dispute resolution and compensation of up to €20,000 per client.

IQ Option has been approved as a member of the Financial Commission, the external dispute resolution body, giving eligible clients on the platform access to independent mediation and potential compensation of up to €20,000 per client. The membership took effect on 30 September 2026 after the commission approved the broker's application.

The arrangement covers clients using the IQ Option platform and includes access to the Financial Commission's Compensation Fund, subject to the organisation's rules and conditions. The commission steps in as a third-party mediator when a broker and its client cannot settle a dispute directly, and its remit spans markets including contracts for difference, forex and cryptocurrencies.

IQ Option's addition is the latest in a series of membership announcements from the organisation. The Financial Commission recently confirmed MBX PRO as a member, following earlier additions that include RA Prime, FP Markets, OneRoyal, FXON, GTCFX and Neex.

Execution quality audit passed

Alongside the membership, IQ Option has completed an execution quality audit carried out by VerifyMyTrade, an independent provider of trading execution analysis. VMT examined a sample of 5,000 order executions from the broker, and the results met what the Financial Commission described as VMT's execution quality standards.

Traders can view the audit through a VMT badge on IQ Option's member profile. The linked page shows the audit date, the number of orders analysed and whether the findings met VMT's standards. The announcement did not disclose the detailed audit results, nor the size of the sample relative to IQ Option's total order volume.

Separately, the Financial Commission said it had investigated an impersonation scam targeting traders who had suffered broker-related losses or blocked withdrawals. The fraudsters charged fees for purported fund recovery and chargeback services, using fake guarantee letters and contact details resembling those of legitimate firms and digital wallet providers. The commission stressed that it does not offer recovery or chargeback services, does not contact traders unsolicited, does not use messaging apps for official communication and does not issue guarantee letters.
