Interactive Brokers Expands AI Integration - Adding ChatGPT and Grok to Its Agentic Trading Tools

Interactive Brokers (Nasdaq: IBKR) announced on June 22, 2026, that it has expanded its agentic trading capabilities by adding ChatGPT and Grok to its growing ecosystem of AI platform integrations. The new additions join Claude, which was previously integrated, and now allow clients to research, analyze, and generate trading instructions via natural language across multiple leading AI platforms. The broker also extended the range of assets available for order instructions to include options, futures, and futures options, in addition to equities and ETFs.

"We continue to see growing interest from investors in using artificial intelligence as a more natural way to interact with financial markets," said Milan Galik, Chief Executive Officer of Interactive Brokers. "Adding ChatGPT and Grok, together with support for options and futures, expands the ways clients can securely connect AI tools to Interactive Brokers for research, analysis and execution." Galik added that the company plans to broaden capabilities and asset classes further over time.

Clients can link their existing IBKR account to ChatGPT, Grok, or Claude in minutes using their IBKR login at no extra cost. No new account is required, and no passwords or API keys are shared with the AI provider. Once connected, users can ask questions such as "Show me the possible Options strategies that can help protect the gains on my five largest stock positions" or "Buy 2 contracts of nearby month ICE OIL futures." Every instruction generated by the AI is reviewed and approved by the client in a dedicated AI Instructions tab before submission to the market.

The AI Integration complements IBKR's existing suite of AI-powered tools available directly within its platforms. These include AI Screeners, which allow natural-language searches across more than 70,000 global stocks; Investment Themes, which connect users to related companies and trends; Connections, which show related securities and derivatives for any stock; Ask IBKR, which answers portfolio questions based on account data; and AI News Summaries, which filter market news by portfolio holdings and watch lists.
