In-App Wallet, Crosschain Swaps and Portfolio Tracking Come to Uniswap

Uniswap rolled out four updates enabling instant wallet creation via FaceID/TouchID, multi-chain portfolio grouping, profit-and-loss tracking, and one-step crosschain swaps.

Uniswap has launched four major updates across its web app, mobile wallet, and browser extension, aiming to lower the barriers to decentralized finance. The new features include an in-app wallet that can be created in seconds, a unified portfolio view across chains, profit-and-loss (P&L) metrics, and one-click crosschain swaps that eliminate the need for a separate bridging step.

Wallet creation and self-custody New users can generate a wallet directly from the Uniswap Web App by selecting "Create Account" after clicking "Get started." They choose a username and log in using FaceID, TouchID, or a passkey. The wallet infrastructure is powered by Privy, which distributes key material across a globally distributed system rather than storing it in one place. Sensitive operations run inside cryptographically verifiable environments, and configurable signing rules help keep activity within defined constraints. Uniswap Labs cannot access user keys or assets. The same wallet works across browsers and devices—users can add Google, Apple, or email authentication for cross-device access. Seed phrase export is also available from settings at any time, preserving self-custody.

Portfolio tracking and multichain view P&L metrics now appear across Uniswap apps. Realized and unrealized returns are displayed for each token at both the wallet level and the per-asset level. The unrealized return compares current holdings to the average cost, which is calculated from swap history. For tokens received via transfer, the app uses the token's price at the time of receipt. The multichain portfolio grouping feature combines holdings of the same token across different networks into a single row—for example, ETH or USDC held on multiple chains shows as one combined balance. This grouping also applies in Explore, Token Detail Pages, and search results.

Crosschain swaps and supported chains Users can now swap tokens across chains in a single action without bridging first. The crosschain routes are handled automatically using Across and the Uniswap Protocol. Supported networks include Ethereum, Unichain, Arbitrum One, Base, Optimism, World Chain, zkSync, Zora, Linea, Soneium, and MegaETH. The company noted that there are zero interface fees for getting started.
