Gemini Expands Its Tether Offering: USAT, Tokenized Gold, and USDT0 on Arbitrum

Crypto exchange Gemini announced today the addition of three new digital assets and services to its platform: USAT, XAUt, and USDT0 transfer capability on the Arbitrum network. The move broadens Gemini’s stablecoin and tokenized-asset offerings while simplifying cross-chain transactions for users.

USAT is a compliance-focused regulated stablecoin issued by Anchorage Digital Bank, a federally chartered digital asset bank. It maintains a 1:1 peg to the U.S. dollar, backed by full reserves with a consistent surplus, and provides monthly disclosures under U.S. regulatory oversight.

XAUt, also known as Tether Gold, represents ownership of one fine troy ounce of physical gold stored in Swiss vaults. The token gives users onchain exposure to gold prices without requiring direct custody of the metal.

USDT0 is a cross-chain version of USDT built on LayerZero’s Omnichain Fungible Token (OFT) standard. It enables native USDT transfers across multiple supported blockchains, including Arbitrum, Avalanche, Ethereum, Solana, and Tron. According to Gemini, this design eliminates bridge risk and offers faster settlement by presenting users with a unified USDT balance regardless of the underlying network.

When depositing, customers select USDT, choose their preferred network, and send funds to see a consolidated balance. Withdrawals follow a similar flow with a destination network selection. The integration unlocks access to the over $1 billion USDT already on Arbitrum.

Gemini stated that together, these additions move the platform toward becoming a multi-chain hub, allowing users to access a wider range of digital dollar and real-world asset exposure without leaving the exchange.
