FTMO Discontinues DXtrade Trading Platform

FTMO announced the discontinuation of its DXtrade platform effective March 24, 2026, and warned clients about increased market volatility due to geopolitical tensions in the Middle East and the war in Ukraine.

FTMO published a trading update on March 24, 2026, detailing several operational changes and market risk warnings for its clients. The update covers the decommissioning of the DXtrade platform, heightened geopolitical risks, upcoming daylight saving time adjustments, and changes to the daily loss reset calculation.

DXtrade Platform Discontinued As part of its long-term strategy to focus resources on core trading platforms, FTMO has discontinued DXtrade effective March 24, 2026. New users can no longer select DXtrade, and the platform will be gradually removed from the company’s website. Existing DXtrade accounts remain active for now, and clients will receive advance information about migrating to another platform.

Geopolitical Risk Warnings FTMO warned that ongoing tensions in the Middle East could cause unstable market conditions across multiple asset classes, including FX pairs, equity indices, metals, commodities, and energy markets. The broker cited potential sharp price movements, increased volatility, price gaps, wider spreads, slippage, reduced liquidity, and order execution difficulties. Separately, the war in Ukraine continues to contribute to market unpredictability, with possibility of price spikes, flash crashes, and liquidity supply issues. FTMO advised clients to exercise caution and ensure appropriate risk management settings.

European Daylight Saving Time Change On March 29, 2026, Europe enters Daylight Saving Time. Trading hours for European stocks (Equities CFD II) and several cash instruments will shift back by one hour on MetaTrader 4 and 5 platforms. Affected instruments include SPN35.cash, N25.cash, EU50.cash, FRA40.cash, HK50.cash, COFFEE.c, COCOA.c, SUGAR.c, and stocks such as AIRF, ALVG, BAYGn, DBKGn, IBE, LVMH, and VoWG_p. On cTrader and DXtrade platforms, hours adjust according to the user’s timezone setting.

Max Daily Loss Reset Update The Max Daily Loss resets at midnight Prague time (CET). Starting March 29, 2026, at 04:00 GMT+3, the offset between Prague time (CEST) and MetaTrader time (GMT+3) will be one hour. Clients can check the countdown to the reset in their Account MetriX tooltip or contact live chat for assistance.

Sanctions and Payment Restrictions Due to sanctions related to the war in Ukraine, FTMO cannot process payments to clients in Crimea, Sevastopol, Donetsk, Kherson, Luhansk, and Zaporizhzhia regions. Restrictions also apply to sanctioned Russian banks and individuals. Crypto payouts are included in these restrictions.
