Freedom24 Brings AI Access to Tradernet as ThinkMarkets, cTrader Adopt MCP

Freedom24 has connected its Tradernet brokerage platform to AI tools through the Model Context Protocol, letting clients access portfolios, quotes and trade data via natural language.

Freedom24 has opened its Tradernet brokerage platform to AI-powered assistants through an integration based on the Model Context Protocol (MCP), joining a growing list of trading firms offering AI agents direct access to account data.

The integration lets Freedom24 customers connect their brokerage accounts to AI tools such as Claude Code, Cursor and Codex. Using natural-language prompts, clients can retrieve portfolio information, market quotations, historical data, orders and trade history, reports, and price or event alerts.

Vitaliy Zvonar, Chief Product Officer at Freedom24, said the significance goes beyond having an AI answer portfolio questions. The real shift, he argued, is making financial capabilities accessible through intelligent interfaces, and preparing the firm's infrastructure for a world where AI agents are part of how clients interact with financial services.

The move is part of a broader industry push into MCP-based AI connectivity. ThinkMarkets launched an MCP server in June that permits AI clients to execute trades while keeping deposit and withdrawal functions off-limits. MetaTrader 5 added native MCP support for AI agents spanning market data, trading accounts and execution workflows. Spotware has opened cTrader to AI agents via MCP, covering account operations, orders, positions and market data. Capital.com also introduced an MCP server for MENA clients, with a two-step confirmation process for AI-initiated trades.

European expansion

Freedom24's MCP rollout aligns with the company's broader European ambitions. Freedom is in the process of obtaining a banking licence in Europe, which would allow it to move beyond investment services. It has also outlined plans for a financial ecosystem around its brokerage business, modelled on the Freedom SuperApp operated by Freedom Holding Corp. in Kazakhstan, its largest market.

That SuperApp combines banking, payments, investing, insurance, telecommunications, e-commerce and other services in a single digital platform. As Freedom adds more services in Europe, the underlying technology could connect them through a range of customer interfaces, with AI agents serving as one possible access point.
