flatexDEGIRO Surpasses €100 Billion in Customer Securities Under Custody
German online broker flatexDEGIRO has surpassed €100 billion in customer securities under custody, capping a decade of strong growth in accounts, revenue and profit.
flatexDEGIRO has crossed the €100 billion mark for customer securities held under custody, excluding cash balances, the company announced on July 1.
The Frankfurt-based online broker said the milestone caps a decade of expansion across all key financial metrics. flatexDEGIRO now counts roughly 3.5 million customer accounts, up 1,650% over the period, while assets under custody rose about 1,000%. Revenue reached €560 million, up 489%, and net income climbed to €160 million, up 1,201%.
CEO Oliver Behrens described the achievement as a reflection of customer trust and consistent execution of the company's long-term strategy. "When people start taking their financial future seriously, they increasingly turn to capital markets, and many choose flatexDEGIRO as their trusted partner," he said. He added that retail participation in European capital markets remains below its potential, leaving significant room to grow the customer base, assets and earnings.
Platform expansion
flatexDEGIRO has expanded across 16 European countries and says it executes more than 75 million securities transactions per year. Through its DEGIRO, flatex and ViTrade platforms, clients can access around 50 exchanges in Europe, North America and Asia-Pacific, as well as over-the-counter direct trading. The group also operates flatexDEGIRO Bank SE, a subsidiary with a full banking license.
The company said its scalable platform, growing customer base and continued focus on efficiency and product development position it to further strengthen its standing as a leading European platform for building wealth.
