Fidelity Investments Expands Commitment to Helping Families Save and Invest with Trump (530A) Account Rollovers

Fidelity Investments announced plans to enable rollovers into Trump Accounts (530A), expanding its suite of tax-advantaged savings products for families, including 529s, UGMA/UTMA, and Roth IRAs for Kids.

Fidelity Investments has announced plans to introduce rollover functionality for Trump Accounts (530A), adding a new option for families seeking to save and invest for children. The move, disclosed on June 23, 2026, follows the issuance of Treasury guidance on rollovers for these accounts, allowing eligible assets to be transferred into a Trump Account at Fidelity.

Trump Accounts, named after the tax code section 530A, are tax-advantaged retirement accounts designed to help families start investing early for a child’s long-term financial security. They now join a broader lineup of Fidelity products aimed at supporting key financial milestones for younger generations.

“Steady and intentional investing for the long term is one of the most powerful ways families can drive lasting financial success,” said Tom Jessop, president of Fidelity Brokerage. He emphasized that Fidelity offers a range of options to encourage caregivers and children to build lifelong financial habits together.

The newly added rollover capability complements existing offerings such as 529 education savings plans, UGMA/UTMA custodial accounts, Roth IRAs for Kids, Youth Accounts for teens aged 13–17, and ABLE accounts for individuals with disabilities. Each product serves distinct purposes — from tax-free education savings to enabling teens to manage their own brokerage accounts with parental oversight.

Bob Mascialino, president of Fidelity Wealth, noted that enabling rollovers into Trump Accounts provides “a new tax-advantaged savings vehicle” that helps families create a plan for younger generations to achieve lasting financial security. He stressed the importance of meaningful planning discussions and understanding available tools.

Fidelity did not specify a launch date for the rollover feature, stating it will become available following the Treasury guidance. The company remains privately held, managing $7.0 trillion in assets as of March 31, 2026.
