eToro to Move Existing Clients to AI-Centred App from 4 October

eToro will move its existing client base onto a new AI-centred app from 4 October, one of several broker developments that also include a delayed BlackBull IPO and a second Equiti storefront in the UAE.

eToro is preparing to move its existing client base onto a new artificial-intelligence-centred application starting 4 October, according to a daily roundup of broker and fintech news. Clients already on the platform are set to be transferred to the new app from that date, rather than the migration being limited to new sign-ups. The recap did not specify how many accounts are affected or whether any markets will be excluded from the switch.

Other broker developments

The same roundup reported that BlackBull's planned initial public offering has been delayed, with the listing now pushed back to 2027. No reason for the revised timeline was given. Equiti, meanwhile, has opened a second physical storefront in the United Arab Emirates, extending its brick-and-mortar presence in the country at a time when most retail brokers operate digital-first.

The briefing also noted that Capital.com appears to be moving toward the UK crypto market, while trading technology provider Devexperts has secured approval in Indonesia. Tickmill's UK arm recorded a decline in trading revenue.

On the regulatory and corporate side, Trade Republic gave some Portuguese clients a two-day window to switch accounts, and both eToro and Alpaca received relief from the US Securities and Exchange Commission. The European Central Bank launched Pontes, and Revolut set out details of its low-lending banking model.

Market-structure items in the recap included an outlook suggesting that financial contracts could account for almost half of prediction-market volume by 2035, a projection that points to growing overlap between event-based markets and traditional derivatives products.
