Equiti Group Appoints Albert Lotter as Head of Creative

Equiti Group has appointed Albert Lotter as Head of Creative, a new senior leadership role. Lotter brings over 20 years of international creative experience and will lead the group's global creative vision.

Equiti Group, a global fintech firm offering trading technology, payment software, and asset management, has appointed Albert Lotter as Head of Creative. The new senior role is effective immediately and underscores the company’s push to strengthen its brand storytelling and creative output across its international markets.

Lotter joins Equiti with more than two decades of creative leadership experience. He began his career in South African newsrooms, working for publications such as Drum and Sunday Sun, before moving into senior roles across Tunisia, Qatar, Bahrain, Jordan, and the UAE. Over his career, he has collected 17 international awards, including a Loerie for Best Newcomer. He is known for a “design against the grain” philosophy that challenges traditional financial-services aesthetics in favor of tactile, authentic visuals.

In his new position, Lotter will oversee Equiti’s global creative direction, defining the brand’s visual identity and narrative across all client touchpoints. He reports to Chantelle Johnson, Equiti’s Group Chief Marketing Officer.

“We are delighted to welcome Al to Equiti. His appointment strengthens our team as we scale our global presence,” Johnson said. “By fusing his creative depth with our insights, we are enhancing a brand story that is both precise and profoundly human. He brings the visionary layer needed to ensure our brand remains culturally relevant and enduring across every market.”

Lotter commented on his move from agency work to an in-house role: “Stepping from agency life into Equiti has been incredibly rewarding, giving me the opportunity to act as the creative custodian of a single brand and help shape its future in an exciting fintech space. Equiti’s people-first culture and trust in creativity are rare, and my focus is on the craft and the people, building global teams that turn clear brand strategy into work that genuinely resonates.”

Equiti Group operates across Africa, Asia, Europe, and the Middle East and holds licenses in the UK, UAE, and Cyprus. The appointment is part of a broader effort to elevate the company’s creative capabilities as it continues to expand its retail, professional, and institutional client base.
