DigiFinex Launches Nexus (NEX)

DigiFinex will list Nexus (NEX) against USDT, with trading starting May 21, 2026 and deposits/withdrawals opening May 22, 2026. NEX is the native token of the Nexus blockchain.

DigiFinex has confirmed it will list Nexus (NEX), the native token of the Nexus blockchain, with trading available against Tether (USDT). According to the exchange's schedule, the NEX/USDT trading pair goes live on May 21, 2026 at 04:10 UTC, while deposits and withdrawals open on May 22, 2026 at 09:00 UTC.

DigiFinex describes Nexus as a blockchain purpose-built for exchange infrastructure and verifiable computation. Its architecture combines an execution layer, a consensus layer, and a verifiability layer, alongside specialized financial co-processors. The token has three main functions on the network: paying transaction gas on the Nexus Layer 1, paying for verifiable compute jobs on the Nexus compute network, and supporting additional utility tied to the Nexus Exchange, which is scheduled to launch in October 2026. The exchange says specific token mechanics for the Nexus Exchange will be announced closer to launch.

On the funding side, DigiFinex says Nexus has raised $27.2 million across seed and Series A rounds, with participation from Lightspeed, Pantera, Dragonfly, SV Angel, Alliance, and Faction.

DigiFinex also included a Canadian-market notice, stating that the newly listed product is not eligible for the Canadian market under the Pre-Registration Undertaking applicable to DigiFinex. The exchange says it has implemented measures, where technologically feasible, to avoid distributing promotional material to IP addresses originating from Canada, except for BTC/ETH versus fiat or USDC pairings.

DigiFinex reminded users that cryptocurrencies carry market risk and volatility, and advised investors to do their own research before trading.
