Crypto.com registers with SEC for single-stock futures, plans US stock perps

Nadex, Crypto.com's US-regulated derivatives exchange, has registered with the SEC to offer security futures via OG.com, while the company also pursues approval for single-stock perpetual futures.

Crypto.com's US-regulated derivatives arm, North American Derivatives Exchange (Nadex), has registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission to trade security futures products through OG.com, opening a path for the company to offer single-stock futures to American traders.

The SEC acknowledged Nadex's registration filing on Sept. 16, two days after the exchange submitted it, and the registration took effect immediately. CEO Kris Marszalek said the approval authorizes the company to bring single-stock futures to the US market. Nadex operates under OG.com and is registered with the Commodity Futures Trading Commission as a designated contract market and a derivatives clearing organization.

A second push into perpetual futures

Beyond standard futures, Crypto.com is asking regulators to clear single-stock perpetual futures — contracts that carry no fixed expiration date. "We are working with the SEC and the CFTC to offer single-stock perps in the U.S., which will combine the innovations of the digital asset markets with the U.S. capital markets," Marszalek wrote on X early Thursday.

The effort mirrors a move by Coinbase, which filed its own notice registration earlier this month as it also seeks to list equity perpetual futures in the United States. Coinbase Chief Policy Officer Faryar Shirzad said the exchange would additionally require sign-off from the CFTC before it can proceed.

Crypto.com's derivatives expansion comes alongside a broader set of US partnerships. Earlier this month, Robinhood struck a deal with Crypto.com and OG.com to route a selection of event contracts through OG.com, beginning with football markets. Robinhood also agreed to take equity stakes in Crypto.com and OG.com following the latter's spin-off as an independent trading platform.

The filings place both Crypto.com and Coinbase in a race to extend derivatives products built for digital-asset markets into traditional US equity exposure, pending the outcome of the remaining CFTC approvals.
