Crypto.com launches 24/7 Tokenized Stocks trading

Crypto.com rolled out Tokenized Stocks, giving eligible users 24/7 access to tokenized U.S. equities and ETFs from as little as $1, with zero-commission trading for a limited period.

Crypto.com has launched Tokenized Stocks, giving eligible users 24/7 access to tokenized U.S. equities and ETFs directly through its app. The crypto platform announced the rollout on Aug. 12, saying the service will initially cover 1,500 underlying stocks and funds, with a minimum entry point of US$1. The move continues a broader push by crypto platforms into real-world asset trading, following similar offerings such as Kraken's xStocks.

The product is available to eligible users in the European Economic Area (EEA) and other approved jurisdictions. It supports trading outside standard market hours, with round-the-clock access to tokenized versions of major names such as NVDA, TSLA and AAPL, as well as commodity-linked ETFs including GLD and SLV. The offering also includes fractional share access and faster settlement.

In the EEA, Tokenized Stocks are provided by Crypto.com's Cyprus-based, CySEC-licensed unit Foris Capital CY Limited, formerly known as A.N. Allnew Investments Limited. Crypto.com said the product leverages its liquidity and execution infrastructure to combine the convenience of its app with exposure to traditional equities in a tokenized format.

Tokenized stocks are derivative instruments designed to track their underlying assets. They do not confer legal or beneficial ownership, nor do they include shareholder rights, though users may receive dividend-equivalent adjustments. The underlying assets are custodied with Alpaca, a U.S. regulated self-clearing broker-dealer that Crypto.com says supports infrastructure for more than 90% of the tokenized U.S. stock and ETF market.

CEO Kris Marszalek said the launch advances Crypto.com's multi-asset ecosystem and gives users a flexible route into U.S. equity and ETF exposure. He added that market access should not be limited by traditional trading hours, and that blockchain can modernize one of the world's oldest asset classes.

For a limited introductory period, eligible users can trade Tokenized Stocks with zero commission, though foreign-exchange charges and spreads may still apply.
