CMC Invest Launches AI Tool CMC Intelligence

CMC Invest has launched CMC Intelligence, an AI tool built with Telescope AI that surfaces portfolio- and instrument-level insights across shares, ETFs and crypto in five markets.

CMC Invest, the retail investing unit of London-listed CMC Markets, has launched CMC Intelligence, an artificial intelligence tool built with Telescope AI. The tool provides portfolio-level and instrument-level insights across shares, exchange-traded funds and cryptocurrencies in Australia, the United States, Singapore, New Zealand and the United Kingdom.

CMC Intelligence ranks market information based on a client's holdings, highlighting the price moves, news and events most relevant to that portfolio. Users can drill down into individual instruments to review announcements, earnings, macroeconomic factors and company events linked to recent movements. The system uses verified market data, corporate filings, regulatory disclosures and public news sources, with separate AI agents arranged by asset class and geography and source citations that let investors check the original material.

The rollout comes as retail investors increasingly integrate AI into research and decision-making. CMC Invest cited client research showing that 23% of its clients now use AI for investing, up from 12% six months earlier. CMC Invest says it offers more than 2,500 ASX-listed shares and ETFs, more than 40,000 international shares and ETFs across 15 markets, and access to cryptocurrencies.

The analysis is tailored to each asset type and region. For Australian ETFs, for example, the tool identifies major constituent holdings and tracks earnings, market announcements and other developments from recognised sources. At the portfolio level, it consolidates signals across a user's holdings and presents the issues judged most relevant at a given time.

Ryan O'Doherty, Head of Product for CMC Invest APAC, said the product was designed to help investors manage the constant flow of fragmented information that accompanies fast-moving or volatile markets. AI-enabled solutions, he said, help clients cut through market noise by converting complex research and trade analysis into insights that are easier to understand and quicker to act on.

Telescope AI supplies investment research and capital markets compliance technology to brokers and wealth managers in seven jurisdictions. Chief Executive Luc Pettett said CMC treated AI as infrastructure rather than a feature add-on, changing how investors engage with capital markets and empowering the investor. CMC Markets is a FTSE 250 company and says the broader group serves more than 1 million investors and traders through 13 offices globally.
