Capital.com appoints Mamoon Sbeih as Chief Strategy Officer

Capital.com has appointed Mamoon Sbeih as chief strategy officer, tasking him with corporate strategy, government relations and communications as the broker enters new markets.

Online broker Capital.com has appointed Mamoon Sbeih as chief strategy officer, the company announced on Aug. 5, 2026. Sbeih will lead corporate strategy, government relations and corporate communications as the broker expands into new markets and jurisdictions.

Sbeih brings 27 years of experience in strategic communications across the Middle East and North Africa. He spent close to a decade at the World Bank as an External Affairs and Aid Coordination Officer, joined BCW in the UAE in 2003, and moved to APCO in 2006. At APCO, he served as Managing Director of the MENA region, Regional President from 2017, and most recently as Chief International Business Development Officer and MENA Chairman.

Commenting on the hire, Capital.com founder Viktor Prokopenya said Sbeih's public affairs and strategic communication experience matches what the company needs as it grows. "Mamoon spent two decades building APCO's business across the Middle East," Prokopenya said. "He was Regional President and a widely known figure in regional government relations."

Sbeih said Capital.com is building a platform "designed around better decisions, not faster ones." He added that he plans to apply his experience helping governments and global businesses "navigate complexity and communicate with precision" to telling Capital.com's story during its next phase of growth.

Capital.com is a global regulated financial group established in 2016. The company says its platform is designed to support deliberate and informed decision-making, with an emphasis on clarity, information sequencing and risk awareness. It also says its operating model is built around regulatory compliance, governance and operational discipline.

Capital.com operates across multiple jurisdictions under established regulatory frameworks and maintains offices in London, Dubai, Warsaw, Milan, Nassau, Sofia, Limassol and Melbourne. The company says its focus is on long-term consistency, resilience and stability across market conditions, including periods of heightened volatility.
