Bitfinex Simplifies Access to Tokenised Capital Markets

Bitfinex Securities now lets investors view tokenised securities directly in their primary Bitfinex trading account, removing the need for separate sub-accounts. The platform has grown to $250M in assets over the past year.

Bitfinex Securities has eliminated a key administrative barrier for traders, allowing them to see tokenised securities holdings directly within their main Bitfinex trading account. The change means investors no longer need to maintain a separate Securities sub-account to participate in regulated digital securities markets.

Previously, users had to create a dedicated sub-account and transfer internal balances to fund it — a process that introduced friction and limited market depth. Under the new system, security tokens appear in the same Exchange wallet alongside other digital assets, offering a unified portfolio view and simplified reporting. Full verification remains mandatory to trade or join capital raises, ensuring compliance standards are upheld.

Over the past twelve months, total assets on the Bitfinex Securities platform have grown to approximately $250 million. The platform now supports a variety of tokenised products, including micro-financing bonds (ALT2612), Bitcoin hashrate contracts (BMN2), US Treasury bills (USTBL), litigation finance products (TITAN2), and bank subordinated debt (TITAN1).

This integration aligns with Bitfinex Securities’ goal of democratising access to regulated digital securities. The company says tokenised capital markets are gaining traction as a bridge between traditional and digital finance, with institutional interest catalysing growth in the real-world asset (RWA) sector. By embedding securities visibility into the primary account structure, Bitfinex aims to make these products a foundational component of institutional portfolios.
