Angel One Appoints Ajit Narayanan as Chief Technology Officer

Angel One, the Indian fintech brokerage, has appointed Ajit Narayanan as its new Chief Technology Officer (CTO). The move underscores the company's push to strengthen its artificial intelligence capabilities, improve platform scalability and upgrade its digital infrastructure to support future growth.

Narayanan brings more than 25 years of experience spanning consumer internet, e-commerce, digital healthcare and enterprise technology. In his new role, he will lead Angel One's engineering organisation and oversee platform architecture, scalability, performance and overall technology execution.

The appointment comes as financial services firms increasingly invest in AI-driven platforms to enhance customer experiences, automate operations and build smarter financial products. Narayanan will focus on integrating AI-led intelligence across critical systems and building resilient, high-performance platforms capable of supporting millions of users.

As part of the leadership transition, Ravish Sinha will move from his current position as Group Chief Product and Technology Officer to an individual technologist role within the office of the Group CEO.

"We are at an inflection point where technology and AI are reshaping how financial products are delivered to a billion Indians," said Ambarish Kenghe, a senior executive at Angel One. He added that Narayanan's experience in building large-scale technology platforms will help the company deepen its AI capabilities while delivering secure and seamless customer experiences.

Before joining Angel One, Narayanan led technology for supply chain and commercial platforms at Reliance Retail. He previously served as Chief Technology and Product Officer at Licious, where he modernised customer and operational platforms using data and AI. He was also co-founder of MFine, one of India's early AI-powered digital healthcare platforms, and earlier served as CTO of Myntra, where he scaled technology infrastructure and deployed machine learning across personalisation, pricing and demand forecasting. Narayanan also held leadership roles at SAP, working on cloud integration and API management platforms.

His appointment signals Angel One's intention to accelerate its AI and platform engineering agenda as it prepares for the next phase of India's digital investing growth.
