Andy Biggs promoted to CEO of IG Securities

Andy Biggs has been promoted to CEO of IG Securities, just months after joining IG Group (LON: IGG) from Finalto.

Biggs joined IG in April as Trading Director, overseeing the company's B2B arm IG Prime as well as trading across the wider IG Group. In his new role, he adds responsibility for core technology at IG Group and full operation of IG Prime, while retaining responsibility for group trading.

Before joining IG, Biggs spent the better part of a decade at Finalto, the trading and liquidity provider. His appointment is part of a broader push to bring technology and trading closer together within the IG Group.

In a LinkedIn post announcing the promotion, Biggs said he was excited by the opportunity to combine IG's trading expertise with its technology and data capabilities. He added that this should allow the company to move faster and create better products for both IG Prime and IG Consumer clients.

Biggs also noted IG's history of innovation in online trading and said he looked forward to working with teams across the group as it builds the foundations for its next phase of growth.
